The recognition of the many selves manifests itself in the collective experience of one's own biography. I become the group and the family. By accepting that many I's live in me, I can perceive and experience my biography as a collective one. So I can be my own family, take care of myself accordingly, argue with me and live life (with everything that goes with it).
