This work is referring to the anti-racist protests from last year in many european countries and USA. It is referring to how the protestors took down many monuments as symbols of white supremacy, symbols of western power. These efforts were only possible in collectives, also when not everyone was pulling on the same rope, the collectives were pulling in the same direction. The image also speaks about a higher force, maybe the truth, or justice that is overseeing and inciting these events, giving the protestors more power and fire to fight the injustices that are oppressing them. with their efforts they have shaken the white hegemony and changed the mainstream discourse concerning racism.
