4 ᴍᴏᴛʜᴇʀꜱ is a continuation of my work ᴄᴏᴇxɪꜱᴛᴇɴᴄᴇ from 2018, based on the Xenogenesis Triology of Octavia Butler. A postapocalyptic sci-Fi novel that describes human beings as genetically flawed because of two characteristics: 1. hierarchical and 2. intelligent. Therefore, the story suggests that humanity needs to surpass itself, to adapt and change by creating a new post-human species.
In a way my 4 ᴍᴏᴛʜᴇʀꜱ are following this line of thought, not by reproducing with a different species, but by growing new organs that will change how humans function in this world.
These organs are leaking, dripping, pumping, releasing new liquids to hold and sustain others. With these new body parts our lives will be centered on feeding these liquids to raise new multitudes of life forms instead of controlling them.
As the 4 ᴍᴏᴛʜᴇʀꜱ devote their time, labor and energy to lead us into this new phase of evolution they also invite us to follow the movement of the Traisen River to soothe and nourish, while spilling into each other, in different kinds of flows and currents as we finally bridge the gap between our limited imagination and our collective survival.
